So, installing an Alpine Amp in my factory system. Got pretty much everything all wired up; power, speakers, etc. However, I am stumped trying to find the REMOTE TURN ON LEAD coming out from the factory head unit. Most websites say 'look for the blue wire,' but that doesn't exist on the two connectors on the back of my head unit. I think it's location #1 on the link below. Thanks!

Any thoughts?

Don't do that. Look at the harness pics online, see which one in the harness is blue, and use that wire. The blue wire thing only applies to aftermarket standardized wiring colors. I'd tell you specifically which wire, but my manual isn't here. Can you wait a day or two?

Hey Dingo, I actually went with the digital voltmeter option. Figured it out. It was #2. Got a nice clean 12v off there and a mere 10 hours later, I have a factory stereo that I can barely turn up! DAMN! It's good.
