Another PAT system fix

I am not sure if this way is posted Anywhere at all, so I am sharing it here.
As when I was having issues, I found every possibility but Never came across this before.
So I made a video & tossed it online.

This was My trucks problem, so I cannot speak for everyone elses vehicle.

& Luckily this was just a random idea when I replaced the sensor & the new one would not work at all in the mounted position.

Indeed~!
I installed the new sensor & it would not work At All in the mounted position.
Switched back between the old & new sensor a few times to see if I locked the system from trying too many times.
Old one still worked when I held it against the key, which made me think to hold the new one closer to the key.
& then the new sensor worked, but still not 100% of the time.
But the old one reinstalled & held like that did work 100% of the time.

Its acted up a Few times for the wife so far, but Never left her stranded yet.
Never acted up for me, so I will blame her

So now the question for somebody who knows more about the system is...
What in the PAT system would Weaken the sensors capability of picking up the chip further away?

Once I get 2 more keys cut & 1 more programmed, I plan to glue the keys chip directly to the sensor & use unchipped keys. (only have 1 key atm)
