Thanks to those that helped answer my questions in an earlier post. I have one more question that I'm hoping people can help me with. I have an 04 ST with 2wd. It has the TT/shackle and 3" body lift. I'm looking at buying rims and tires for it, but I'm having a little difficulty with offsets and backspacing. Right now I'm pretty set on a 16x8 rim with a 3.75" backspacing along with 285/75/16 mud terrains. OUt of curiosity, though, does anybody know how well a 16x9 rim with a -12mm offset would fit with the same 285/75/16 tire? Would they sit further out than the stock rim?

Thanks again for any help.

cris,

A - (Negative) offset means the offest is FURTHER out from the wheel well of the truck. So if you have a 16x9 inch wheel, and there is an offset of - 12 mm, then from the center of the wheel at 4.5 inches, there is an additional 12mm offset outward of the truck.

As far as the question of will a 285/17R16 tire fit that size of wheel. (a 16x9) the answer is yes. And with your lift you should be just fine.
