I tried my XM antenna on my dash next to my GPS antenna (actually under the plastic tray on the top of the dash, center of windshield on a metal plate that came with the antenna) but I got way too many dropouts that way. It is out my 3rd light now and no more dropouts. The GPS antanna works great right where it is though.

On my old truck, I put it under the wiper cowl. It was completely invisible and worked great.

I have mine just in-front of the LED on the top of the dash, you can see it tucked between the led and the window. I just used a piece of double sided tape, it works perfectly. I'm SIRIUS but I'm sure it will have the same effect.

I have my xm on the top of the dash, similar to the photo above, it works fine for me. I have never taken mine up to 120 though.

edit: he is in canada so perhaps that is 120km.

When I get the gps module for my alpine IVA-w205, I plan to place the antenna in the same area. I reason that my portable gps worked great there so hopefully it wont be a problem.

lol.. Yeah I'm Canadian eh. The GPS antenna is up there also but tucked tight to where the radio bezel ends and the coin tray begins, cant see it unless your looking in from outside.

I got a factory GM antenna off ebay, disassembled it and soldered the lead from my Terk antenna to it, then drilled my roof and bolted it in. I centered it side to side, about 8-10 inches forward of the 3rd brake light.
