Just want to see if there are any other downhill mountain bikers out there in ST land. If so, post your bike!

To those of you who aren't familiar with the sport.. downhill mountain biking is "lift access" no pedalling up hills, and riding your bike down a mountain.

My bike has 10" travel in the back and 7.5" in the front... 6 piston titanium hydraulic brakes, tubeless tires... it is worth well over 10k.

no pics but Cannondale Prophet - great bike Good enough to get me in enough trouble to put me in the hospital - Grade 3 AC separation. But healed now in time for new season Let the mountains rule

And my incentive to climb has always been 'the best part of climbing is coming back downhill!' :)

I have used the lift served MTB trails at Northstar at Tahoe before, but strickly for a day of 'sluffing off'. While I hate climbing, it keeps me in shape, or at least it used to when I rode on a regular basis... which has been a while.

I think I'll look into a Santa Cruz Heckler after I get my knee replacement surgery done this spring, and can play again...
