Any one use a Power Probe??

Hello, I am getting to install my fog lights, overhead console, and center console, and am thinking about getting a power probe to help with the wiring and am wondering if anyone has used one before. I am looking at the PowerProbe II or III but don't know which one to get. Any help would be very helpful.

They are good for one thing and one thing only, powering up 12 volt devices. They are not meant to be used for figuring out the actual wiring of a vehicle and in some instances can casue quite expensive damage if not used properly.

I bought one a few years ago because I saw it on Horsepower TV and thought I needed to have it. Used it once to power up lights on lawn tractor.

Power probes are limited in usefulness for modern vehicles. They are pretty much only good for diagnosing lights on a boat trailer these days. Get a decent VOM and forget all about getting a power probe.
