I had a 2001 Sport Trac that I switched to Mobil-1 after 10K miles and was very pleased with the change over. So, when I purchased my 2003 Sport Trac, I changed to Mobil-1 at the first 3K mile oil change. And did the same think with my wife's 2003 Saturn Ion. Both have run great and there has been no problem. Today's oils are the best that they have ever been. Synthetics have a slight advantage by being more heat tollerant, and having a longer life for extended change intervvals. All modern oils are 100% compatible with each other and you can switch from dino to sythetic and back every other oil change with no ill effects. Although I don't know why you would want to. ...Rich
