would be good for the genII v8... that drain plug design is soo stupid !!!

What are members thoughts? On the fact that the gen 1 drain is on the side of the pan. Will the fumoto valve get all the sludge from the pan?

I have considered the valve. this thread is a reminder.

Ed,

I allways have qts of "cheep" oil here, so I dump a qt of that in after the old oil is drained out to flush the pan.....

It probably gets nothing out (LOL) but it gives me a piece of mind...

and how seeing the valve does not stick into the pan and the drain hole is about the same, i bet it drains just as fine as the plug...

AND with the hose attachment option, It keeps everything clean !!!

I don't know if was good or bad, but I used to dump in a little kerosene and let in drain very well many years ago. Always seemed to clean out a lot of gunk.

Why didn't I think of that? :banghead:

I think I'll try it.

I thought the thing was already dirt cheap, I bought mine from a link here. Ok, maybe not dirt cheap, as it was like 28 bucks or so...I don't recall without checking my records.

But still....

I'd do a group buy, but I wouldn't know what to do with a spare.
