I am always looking for parts for my 68 Oldsmobile 442. I also have 60's GTO and Chevelle parts available.

Thanks,

Peter

You have a 68 Olds 442!?! My dad would drool all over. He's been an Olds man ever since , well as long as I can remember(I'm 38).

Last summer, my Dad sold the 1968 GTO that he bought new. :(

I have 2 '56 Nomads. :)

I want a '57 GMC.

pnoid72,

Yes, I like many of the early muscle cars. I bought a brand new 1965 GTO when I returned from Okinawa. I raced that car in Ohio and Maryland (I was stationed in Wash, DC) for a couple of years until I went to Germany.

I drove the GTO for about 6 years and when I came back from Vietnam I traded the GTO in and bought a Vega.....Big mistake !!!!

About 20 years ago, I bought a 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo from a friend of mine who bought it new in 1971. It shared many parts with the Chevelle's of that time and I drove it to work on a regular basis. I eventually sold it to a guy who lived a few streets away and kept bugging me to sell it. I was working as a Computer Consultant and spending all my time on the road or in an airplane, and did not have time to work on the car so I let it go to a good home.

I would love to get my hands on a 1965 GTO, or even a 1966-1967 model. I;m not that fond of the original 1964 GTO or the 1968 and later models.

STanner,

Dude, post some photos! Those are so sweet.

I have a '67 Mustang GT. 289 with toploader 4-spd.

She sits in my garage...untouched for almost 9 years.

I posted a pic of my 442.

It is presently for sale or trade for something interesting like a 94-96 Impala SS or a Marauder...

Richard L- I have a GTO for sale but unfortunatly it's a 69.

My wife said she had a brand new '68 Chevelle SS in high school. I've been looking for one for a playtoy for the two of us.

I had a rusted-out Pinto in high school. Guess which one of us had a lot more date action?

I bought my first new car in March 1970 after returning from 2 years in Vietnam. It was a Mercury Cyclone Spoiler, 4-speed, 427, competion gold, with hounds tooth upholstery. The first night home with it my older brother and I took it out for a spin. We still talk about how the g-force pushed us back into our seats and the long streach of rubber it left behind.:D

My wife had a beautiful 55 Chevy, 2 door sedan. When my wife joined the Army and went to Wash, DC where we met, her dad let her sister drive it and of course she wrecked it! Her dad had it towed back to his house and he hoped he could find the time to fix it, unfortunately he never got around to fixing it, I went to Germany, and the car rotted. He has someone offer him $1500 for it as is but he was determined he would fix it, but never did. Eventually my wife's brother and me had to clean up the yard and get rid of the junk vehicles. We had a local junk yard come and pickup the 55' Chevy and a 58 Edsel, 4 door.

My Dad has been into Oldsmobiles for about 15 years now. I can't recall how many he has owned. Maybe 30-40. He loves to buy and sell. He's mainly into 66-67 442's but has owned everything from 65's to 72's.

He even had (at the same time) two 66 442 W-30's. Any Olds fan worth their salt knows that tehre are only 13 of those documented to exist today.

Here's a few pics of the 67 442 W-30 he owned for years (he actually owned it 3 times) When he sold it a few years ago it had 29k original miles on it.

Someday I'll own a convertible 70 442

Steph,

Is your 454 Corvette an LS6 ??? In the late 60's and early 70's they made only 188 LS6 Corvettes that had the 454 enigne with aluminum heads. HP ranged from about 425-475.

With a total production of only 188 cars, the LS6's in average-good condition will bring in $100K and that is expected to rise quickly in the next few years.

You better start checking those serial numbers to see if it is one of those 188?? :D
