Eh, can't win on paper. Mets learned that the last few years. And, Mets taught the world that an aging, overpaid team is death for a few seasons. Phils' starting lineup is the oldest by average, I believe.



I like the signing and look forward to the next two years, but I wonder what happens after that. I can't relive my formative years of Travis Lee and Paul Byrd... Though I do miss going to the stadium at game time, paying $10, and getting first row in the outfield (the old Vet)!



And, Cliff Lee seems like a stand-up guy. Of course, when taking a principled stand is choosing between $125M and $150M, it's not quite the same as choosing between good and bad!
