Everyone, post your ideas/pictures of any vehicle in which Wayne can place bulk orders to have someone produce these hoods as Functional "Ram Air" hoods!!! Post your pics of vehicles that can legitly produced for these Trac's! I'm in!!!!! Here's one of my ideas! I want a functional hood that can somewhat deliver more air, rammed, to my K&N FIPK! Thanks, Gary

What do you guys think I could do, or what looks I could go with, to customize my stock fenders with heat release side louvers?

Honestly, The side louvers will not function in the trac due to all the plumbing and thickness of the fenders. I would remove the full fender liners if your st came with them...Thats fords reason for leaving them off on the 03 and up...

As far as a hood goes, you will need to be doing at east 60-70mph before any increase is noticed from a ram air style..

IF removing heat is the sole issue, I would just get any hood with a scoop you like and cut it out.

Negative to that is when it rains you will need a plug to close the hole, because where the air goes so does the water.....

I can't remember who did the Photoshop, but Mookie's entry looks better. As a matter of fact, I wish the new 2007 ST looked like that.

Here's another one guys, although VERY pricey.

uh, I hope it shows up, I had to do a search by vehicle for parts on that site to find it.

Eric,

Ryan Eylander did the Photoshop and yeah I agree the new ST should look like that. Or at least companies should make parts to get it like that.

haha, the last one would cause me to hit even MORE short, old men than I already have. There was an old man walking out of walgreens when I first got my Trac...the A-Pillar was so thick compared to what I was used to that I didn't even SEE him. Fortunately, I was only doing like 1/2 of a mile per hour, I mean BARELY moving. I heard something bang on my front quarter-panel...it was an old man popping the side of my truck and then flipping me off. I guess I didn't actually HIT him, but I came too close for comfort. Watching old people flipping you the bird is funny. I felt really BAD about it at the time, but looking back, it was rather amusing now since I know he didn't get hurt. I never knew there were people who would try to walk out in front of a BRIGHT YELLOW truck.

Fer, I never thought about a mod like that! That looks pretty cool! I think the hood would look much better. A good bit of vehicles have hood cuts that are off-placed. I saw a BMW Z3 today with a intake port(apparently aftermarket) on the hood that was a bit offset from center. It didn't look bad! The fender idea is good, but personally, I think would look funny from the front and side considering there are 2 fenders and one is moded' and the other is stock. Awesome idea though!!! G.S.
