Auto 4X4

On a '07, is the vehicle always in auto 4X4 unless you mannualy change to 4X4 high or low? There is no indicator light to show "auto". I have put it into 4X4 high and the light comes on, press Auto 4X4 and you can tell it comes out of 4X4 but not sure if it is in auto. Any advice?

The auto 4X4 is NOT in 4wd all the time...



The truck will engage the front tires if the rear tires slip...



IF you put it in 4X4 then your locking the front and rear wheels...



IF you put it in 4X4 low it is the same as 4X4 hi but the gearing is lower for pulling or getting out of being stuck..

Yes, when it is in 4x4 auto mode, it is in 2WD until the rear wheels slip. Then it kickes it into 4x4.



Your vehicle is ALWAYS in Auto mode
