auto lock

I read in the booklet on how to turn off the auto lock feature, because it really annoys me. But it wont work. I have done it over and over and it wont work. My key pad does work and all the buttons needed to turn the feature off work but it simply doesnt work. Anyone know why or how I can get it to not lock on its own all the time? Also to program a new key the booklet says I need two keys to program any more. I bought it used and only have one. Do I have to go to the dealer to get a second before I can do it myself?

For the key:



Yes unfortunately you MUST have the second key.

The dealer has been known to charge well over $200+ bucks for the second key because they have to re program the computer......

Unless you know who sold you the truck and you can try to find the second key....



For the door lock, it has to be perfect and within the seconds allowed..... IT sucks... I believe also there is a post about that doing it a different way....
