Hi,

New here, I'm reading here for a few weeks now, and just registered on the site a few hours ago.

Now that's out of the way, I have a 2004 XLT with the "audiophile" factory Pioneer six disc system in the 'trac. The factory junk doesn't cut the mustard ;) so I'm looking to put the system from my Yukon in the Sport Trac.

The stereo and components are all less than a year old, I've been driving this S/T for only a month now (love it!) but the stereo needs to go, I figure I can put the disc changer in the center console, and I need to know where to put the amp? it is an Alpine "V-12" mono bass amp. I also would like opinions on who makes the best adapter kit for the dash to make it into a single din opening?

I figure I will go out and buy new speakers for the other locations, and once again suggestions are appreciated, I had been running "Boston Acoustics" speakers where I could fit them in my Yukon (the rear speakers where a really odd-ball size) so I was limited to Kenwood speakers.

Once again Hello everyone, and it is a pleasure reading here.

Thank You,

-Matt

well I have mine under the 40 part of the rear seat, I also have anothor amp behind the rear seats in the storage compartment......

I used the AVIC in my truck, but there is no place to hook in the RPM cable, however, it still worked properly.

I also had 2 amps behind my rear seat (inside the plastic piece). They fit very nicely.

I have an AVIC-n1 in my ST and I have my amps mounted in a custom made system behind my rear seats, you can check it out in my library.

I have the N2 which is basically the same thing and I also have the amps mounted in that cargo area where the jack used to be.

Thank you,

I do not have the rpm wire hooked to anything either, and I looked in several users librarys and saw some good ideas for the area behind the rear seats.

Also thank you for all the responses.

-Matt
