Back from China. What happened to gas prices??

Have been away for a couple of weeks. When I left, I was paying $2.99. Just filled up yesterday at $3.09. Heck, I could hire a driver for a week in China, for what it cost me yesterday for one tank of gas. How can they do it? Oh wait. I know. The vehicles are powered by pedal-power.

In South Jersey gas is about $3.059. I saw a Coastal gas station in Pitman, NJ Monday night at $2.939.

Around parts of Dallas, I've seen anywhere from 3.08 to 3.30 for 87 octane.

And we (the province of Alberta) has the second largest reserves of oil in the world, second only to Saudi Arabia......

Yep, Canada has tons of oil, problem is, drilling forit and refineing it.

You can lay some of the blame on China's expanding economy. They need more oil and as demand increases so do the prices.

From what I've read, as long as the world uses more oil than can be generated, the price will continue to spiral upward.

Gas prices are going up because those Billion Chinamen you've been hanging out with are starting to get money to buy things that use oil, like cars.
