Backup light wiring.

Is there a wire in the four prong trailer plug, tied to the backup light wiring?

I have a 55watt driving light I want to tie in. If not I will have to tap off the tail light.

Without finding a diagram to verify, I would say no: Tail light, left brake, right brake and ground would be what the 4 wires are in there for.

No, but if you get under the rear bumper near one of the tail lights, you can see the wire leading to the backup light. I tapped into one of those for the white LED's on my "Line of Fire and Ice" tailgate bar.

You can go under as TrainTrac suggested or remove the tail lamp assembly.

The Wire that TrainTrac is referring to has a label ( don't recall what the letters are) that indicate it is for connecting to trailers or toppers that have 'high mount brake lights I believe.

The wire with the label is marked "CHMSL". Which stands for Center High Mount Stop Light. It is a brake light only.
