Very sad. I wonder who was at fault. Either way, the ST held up pretty well against a much larger vehicle.

If the family has members here, I am sorry for your loss.

Waste Management trucks are big and heavy. It is a lose lose no matter what your driving to be hit by that type of truck.

When someone dies or is seriously injured it really does not matter who is at fault. Sure, legally it does and later in life it may make a difference. But today you lost a family member, fault does not matter. Condolences to the family.

wow........not a pretty sight.

But what kinda suprises me is the fact that they put these folks address in the story. Is this common? Doesn't make much sense, basically alerts every criminal in the city as to which house to hit within the next few nights. I know that if my address was printed and my home ended up getting robbed I would be having me a little "chat" with the newspaper:angry:

And this paragraph really gets me...."Although the accident is still under investigation, police have determined that the dump truck driven by Joe Alex Craft, 31, of Wisdom Way in Smyrna, collided at the intersection with the Ennis’ vehicle." ......well can I say here other than ..................  DUH

geez....that's amazing anyone survived the impact alone. absolutely amazing.

Yeah, I don't see any other topics that would specifically apply either TnT. But accidents like this make me not want to call "shotgun".

That's why the best place to put a young kid is in the middle of the back seat. It's the safest place in the truck.
