Balancer needs to be replaced.

My self and my mechanic are boh wondering why my balancer would break my serpantine belt is running on the rubber dampener that is just under the balancer metal ring? any clue as to why that would happen?

There have been 2 or 3 that I know of that have failed on the site... Some times things happen. It is only rubber molded to metal......... I happen to have 3 used ones here if you want one.......

Diito on Todd. I had the balancer turned loose on my 302 Mustang. The rubber sometimes disenagrates or looses its grip on the balancer.
