Hi everyone. As you might be aware, I have been having issues with the front bed compartment lift support not working. OEM Ford is $225 and my warranty has a high deductible. Autozone could not cross reference it for me, also said it was too small. Here is my solution:

part # SXO75P30 with 10mm sockets

$12.15 plus shipping

It is MAYBE one quarter inch shorter, but works great. Use small screwdriver to slightly pry clip out and it pops on or off the ball. 10 minutes total remove and replace! Hope this helps. I know this isn't a big deal to some, but I am anal about things working right. Pics to follow.

Nice find! I commented in your other thread that my warranty replacement strut is going dead too, so I'll be getting one of these too!

The lady I spoke with at this company said that lack of use probably dooms these to early failure. I can see that it will get rather infrequent use, but for less than $20 I can easily fix it.

The part number is acutally SX075P30 where the third digit is a zero. It is also the nylon ball socket.

Order a 60548S10 if you want steel ball sockets to match the factory sockets.

Great find! Dealer OEM hood lift supports are $83 each vs. $13 from LiftSupportsDepot. :supercool:

Dont know Lemar about that number. All I know is I told them what I needed and this is what she sent. If this is indeed for nylon ball sockets, it installed fine on the facory steel balls.
