Has anyone tried coating the inside of their Gen 2 bed with any of the various bed liner materials? I do not like the factory plastic liner's lack of skid and scratch resistance and have been considering the Duplicolor brand do it yourself roll on liner. Not sure how well it would adhere to the factory plastic liner though. My bed gets occasional rough treatment from sliding toolboxes and engine blocks to dead animals and ATVs. Lots of nicks, gouges and stains.

Thanks. Anyone know if Ford part no. 6L2Z-99112A15-A or the one Torrie sells includes a tailgate mat?

Thanks guys. I had the Line-X brand spray-in liner on my last Ranger and that stuff was awesome, especially compared to the factory bed liner in my Trac. There is a Line-X dealer near me so I think I will stop in there and get their opinion on whether anything will stick to the factory plastic. I have nicks and whatnot on the wheel wells and tailgate and a bed mat is not going to help that. The factory liner is not black all the way through. Once you scratch the surface coating it shows almost white. I could probably spray paint over it with something like Krylon Fusion but that would not be a long term solution. Since Ford doesn't seem to want us as customers anymore I will probably be keeping this one for awhile.
