beeping caused by airbag light?

Dear all,

My ST is beeping 5 times 5 beeps. If I'm not mistaken that's because the dashboard checking light for the airbag doesn't work anymore. Is this coorect? And if so, how do I fix this myself? Or do I need to get it to a dealer/ garage? Other than the beeping the car runs normal.

May be simple as disconnecting the battery or cleaning contacts.

Go to AutoZone and get a free readout from the OBDII diagnostics. Don't assume anything...That gets real expensive

You are correct, Bas. In addition to the lamp being burned out there is a pending problem with the SRS. Pop the instrument cluster out and replace the bulb, heck replace all the bulbs while you're there, and then you will get a flash code. Post it and we'll tell you what's going on.
