If you have 255/70/16's I recommend the TOYO Open Country A/T's. A lot of people here have the Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revos and the BF Goodrich A/T k/o's and like them. You'll like any of those tires on your 4x4. I also recommend upgrading your shocks (just open a whole 'nother discussion) to at least Monroe Reflex or Rancho RSX; KYB Monomax and Bilstein are good monotube shocks. Put on ZabTech's rear anti-sway bar if yours has not already been upgraded; you'll know if it has because the stock one is really puney.
the best you will ever find: michelin cross terrain SUV great smooth ride and handle very well in snow. they are also more exspensive thean most others listed here but u get waht u pay for
Although I haven't tried some of the mentioned brands, I agree with Caymen. I purchased my first set of BFG Radial Long Trail TA's around 8-9 years ago and was sold from then on. I've had them on a couple 1/2 ton trucks, 3/4 ton van and when ready, I'll put them on my ST.
Always bought them from SAM's club at a very reasonable price.
And, as you can see, there are ten replies and almost ten different opinions. The theme? Stay away from Goodyear. I'll just 'ditto' all of the above with a special nod towards BFG All-Terrain TA KO's and Bridgestone Dueller Revos.
i put cooper discoverer ht's on my 02 4x4, good ride, quite and decent price, had them on my f150 and liked them as compared to the badyears. the ht's are not much for off road stuff, but i don't do that, so i went with something that would give me a good ride on the highways.
Anyone here had Dunlop Grandtrek's? My Dad's new Tacoma came with them, and they look good. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion as to how they ride, wear, etc.
(The ones he has are the AT20's. Not sure if there are other models or not.)
