This man can still ROCK! Best concert I have seen, EVER. I have been to many concerts but last nights concert was amazing. He played piano, guitar, he danced.....he joked, he played all the classics and song everyone could sing to. All in all almost 30 songs! The Piano man is still amazing!!:)

We'll open this up to the best concert you've been to...

I'll add Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2000ish when Californication first came out. Foo Fighters opened for them, because FF was still on the way up. A fantastic concert.

Also, Pearl Jam at Penn State about 3 years ago. They played 39 songs. I'm not crazy about Eddie's political thoughts, but the music is still good.

I agree...Billy Joel is the best concert I ever attended. I saw him during the Glass Houses tour back in the 1980's.

My second best concert was Bryan Adams when he was the warmup for Journey. He made Journey look like a lounge act, and he only had one album (Cuts Like a Knife) out at the time.

Third, is the Green Day concert I saw last year. I may not agree with all of their political views, but their music is awesome. :D

Hmmm, My favorite was Sister Hazel back in August '05. They had the entire Atlanta Symphony Orchestra playing with them, and played songs off all 5 of their CDs.

Pink Floyd and Jimmy Buffett. Two best I have ever been to.

Pink Floyd...nothing short of amazing.

Jimmy Buffett...Nothing but a giant beach party.

April 2003, Godsmack opening for Metallica during the Madly In Anger With The World Tour. Had front row ( and by that I mean 6 ft. from the stage ) seats. Couldn't hear for days!

MK ..... The "other" Mark

Saw The Grateful Dead play about a gazillion times all over the country...Pink Floyd ranks up there...Jethro Tull was good too. Can't say I'd cross the street to hear Billy Joel play, but to each his own.

Saw Bon Jovi 2 weeks ago in Phoenix. Awsome, awsome concert. I don't go to alot of concerts so I don't have much to compare it too. But I know that it was well worth the price of the tickets ($80) and that I would do it again without question. They played for almost 3 straight hours.

Bad Company and Dam Yankees in 1990 at the ballpark Old Orchard Beach, Maine. I know, my older sister had and still has a thing for the '80's long hair on guys. I went for the atmosphere.

I saw Billy Joel in 1978 from the nosebleed section-- it was a good concert.

However, I saw him again in the early 90's when he was touring with Elton John, and THAT CONCERT WAS THE BEST! I got 4th row tickets! Billy's piano had a dashboard on it with piped-in air conditioning. I'm sure Elton could have used one on his piano too, especially since it was 98 degrees with very high humidity, and Elton wore a complete leather suit!

the five year straight of big valley jamboree up here in alberta canada.... Going again this year, 6 days of partying, 4 days of concerts. I have seen Toby Kieth, Travis Tritt, Big and Rich, Brooks and Dunn, Tim McGraw and tons of others.... This year the 2 I'll be looking forward to are Gretchen Wilson and Montgomery Gentry.... and thats only 2 of the 12 (I think) artists this year.

Best was Pearl Jam in 1991--just as their album "10" came out, only about a month or two before they were known to most people. After tickets were sold, the band found out that the venue on campus at Marquette University had fixed, theater-style seating. Concerned for the safety of the crowd, trying to do a mosh pit around those seats, they insisted that the show be moved to a different location--which was far smaller. Many tickets had to be refunded--but those that got in got to see the concert of a lifetime.

Second best was seeing Tesla. They did a superb 2+ hour accoustic set, then in the middle of "Love Song", switched from accoustic to electric, and did anther 2+ hour set that way. It was superb!

Other great ones include the Eagles, Extreme, Simon and Garfunkel, Huey Lewis, the BoDeans, and yes, even Richard Marx put on a great performance.

I saw U2 twice in one year. Awesome!

One of my favorites was Kansas and Styx "oldies" concert at the state fair a few years ago. Ozark Mountain Daredevils opened. It was a HOOT!

Kansas was the first concert I ever attended, back in 1979. They were awesome. The warmup band was The Romantics (had one hit song "What I Like About You").

Tesla is an awesome live band. IMO, one of the greatest.

The first concert I saw was Styx at the ripe old age of 15 (in 1976). They played at a local indoor ice arena. We were near the front on the floor, but could not sit down due to the ice (they had a tarp pulled over the ice). My feet were damn frozen after that!
