Blinker/Brake Light question

Now I know many of u out there, including myself, have had problems with the brake lights not working once the steering wheel has been tilted down past a certain point because ford decided not to make the cables long enough inside the steering column. I have only heard of this happening in regards to the Brake lights and was wondering if anyone has had the same problem with their blinker? Because for about the past few weeks I have had to keep the steering wheel all the way up so that i can have a left rear blinker, well today it decided to totally quit on me and i was wondering if i am the only one to deal with this, and if others have was it something other then what i mentioned?

LR blinker is a common failure with the MFS connector in the sterring column....

Many many others have had the same issue. Both with the blinker and the brake light...

I'm having it right now.

Since a lot of people are having it, is there an easy way of fixing it without taking it to the shop and having them charge you a 100 bucks for a part that costs 10?

I have an issue with my back-up light fuse blowing...think they could be connected?
