Has anyone used any of the newer multipoint headsets? Supposedly they allow you to pair two devices. I would like to have one headset to function with both my personal cell and my work phone as I carry them both everyday.

The other thing I'm looking for is that it charges off of a standard mini usb.

Anyone have any input?

I've used a Plantronics 640e for two years. Absolutely no problems. It came in a kit that included an adapter to recharge it from a AAA battery.

Does either one of those support two phones at once? I couldn't find any details specifying that they did.

I'm not certain about the Jawbone, it's not a very good website. The link below references the one's from Plantronics.

I dont see why it wouldn't pair with two phones. I believe it's your phone that stores the pairing info. I purchased the Jawbone last week and it is hands down the best bluetooth headset I've used. I have had two Motorola's and the Plantronics. It does not charge with miniusb but it does have a USB charger with wall converter. It's a little expensive but well worth it.

It is not up to the phones it is up to the headset to remain paired with both devices. Not all can do it.

The point of the mini usb charger is that both my phones charge off usb along with my gps, so I always have that available so I dont have to add another charger into the mix.

The Jawbone doesn't have multipoint connection and uses a proprietary usb charger. Some other choices are the BlueAnt X3, and Jabra's BT5020 and BT5010.

Been using a Cardo systems Scala 700 for quite a while. Great piece and inexpensive. Moreover it can do what your asking:
