Does anyone have this phone? Can you tell me how in the heck to use the dial by name directory. Like when you call a company and they ask you to dial by name. I cant figure out how to switch the qwerty keyboard over from numbers to letters so I can enter the name. Very annoying. Thanks

You do it with the numbers, not letters. See below.

LOL thats how it works on a standard keypad but not the i465 combined qwerty and numbered keypad.

It still works that way. Just not labeled that way, just like mine.

Interesting so do you enter the letters using what looks like your touch screen or do you use the keypad? My phone doesn't give me a screen showing what letters go with what numbers so I am still at a loss. Surely Motorola doesn't expect me to remember in my head what letters are associated with what numbers???

I can do either. When I'm on a call or in phone mode, I can use the keypad, or the onscreen one. When it's in any other mode, only the letters on the keypad work, and I have to push the orange button to get numbers, kind of like a shift key.

There are applications that you can download that will give you a virtual keypad at the top of the screen so that you can see the corresponding letters. I have it on my BlackJackII's. Just have to do a search for websites that promote your smartphone.
