Message: <blockquote data-quote="Richard L" data-source="post: 1022873" data-attributes="member: 52972">bmansc,Since you don't know what service that truck had done up until you bought it, I would recommend doing everything that should have been done in the first 50K miles.Change oil and filter, Flush the transmission fluid, change the coolant, Check the brake pads and replace if needed.  Flush the brake fluid, Check tires for uneven wear and have the front end aligned if needed.....Add a good Fuel injector cleaner to the tank, and perhaps a good SeaFoam treatment to clean out the intake system.....do all this at the very minimum.  Also check all the rubber hoses and belts since they deteriorate more with age than mileage and about 5 years is when they start to go bad.  You should not need spark plugs in 50K miles unless the engine is running rough or you are getting CEL error that indicates a misfire, and then you should also check the coil-packs.....Rich</blockquote>
