bracket

My plunger on the front brake caliper bracket froze and broke when I tried to free it. Can I buy just the bracket with plungers or do I have to buy the whole caliper assy. Pep boys only sell the caliper without the bracket. I'am quessing the dealer is my only option. My sporttrac is a 2003 with 56000 mi. I'am suprised to see this problem so soon. This started out as a simple brake job. I thank you for any input you may have.

I think you can only get it with a new caliper. I know we couldn't get them separately at Advance Auto b/c I looked when I was changing my calipers.



Edit: You should be able to get the bracket separately, but you won't be able to get the plunger with the bracket, only with the caliper, so you could just order a whole assembly w/ bracket and plunger, and I would replace both sides at the same time, JMHO.

The VERY LAST number in the list is the miles from your zip code. I was not able to look up the actual bracket, I looked up the caliper. Hope this does what you need....

Thanks Coastiejoe, I was able to buy a bracket and caliper assy. from NAPA for 67.00 with a 27.50 core charge. All is well.
