Well, I have been talking to you all about this for a long time now and finally took it in to get looked at for the Brake booster. The service writer (that I don't normally use) tells me that yes it is the brake booster and that 90% of fords will make that noise. He said it will not compromise the brakes by leaving it the way it is, and if they do replace the brake booster, it is not guaranteed to stop the noise. The fix by the way was $289 plus tax. @%$&# is what I said after he said I should learn to live with it. I did not pay 30 grand for this truck to "live with it".

Anyone got any help, advice, tsb that I don't know about.

Thanks

Well, hate to say it, but when you have a $30,000 vehicle sharing a majority of parts with a $15,000 vehicle, not all parts will be up to the "$30,000 standard".

Ever since the NHTSA redid thier website, I can't seem to find the area to search for TSBs, so I'm not sure of an TSBs for a noisy brake booster.

Since you're out of warranty, you might just have to live with it unless you want to shell out the cash to replace the booster. Brakes, espically the sealed and vital booster, isn't something you'd want to be messing around with trying to fix unless you know exactly what you're doing.

Brake boosters are vacuum operated. I have never heard of a brake booster making any noise. If it were a hydroboost system, i could understand. What noise are you hearing?

The NHTSA website sucks. It is so hard to navigate anymore, I just don't even bother.

Tom I believe he hears a hissing or air moving sound when he steps on the brake pedal..

I have had cars do this and never bothered to fix it...

My 04 had a noisy booster. Had it changed in the first 6 month of ownership under warranty and the new one makes a similar noise. I wouldn't waiste your money.
