Has anyone found when your front brakes are less than 10% if you run hard, then brake, after you take off from a stop the brake light will come on for a second or 2.

I checked fluid levels and all are good. No other problems. Still stops fine.

Just wondered if replacing front pads would make the fix.

thx all

First : 10% you NEED pads...

Second IT could still be the fluid level going down due to the pads being low.

Third: Check parking brake lever

Fourth: change those pads....

More than likely, it is coming on due to your fluid being low. So on turns, stops and accelerating the fluid moves a bit and the light comes on.

That said, as noted above it is very likely you need new brakes, probably the front as they do most of the work.

thanks all for the input.

that is my next weekend project. Replacing the front pads.

rotors look good but will get them turned anyway.

any suggestions on make of pads to buy?

I have heard ceramic is the way to go but not sure.

thx
