Can anyone shed some light on this issue, my check brake light keeps going on when i accelerate and sometimes when I'm actually braking anyone know what could be going on?
Maybe a bad abs sensor. Could be your E-brake switch is loose or needs adjusting. Make sure your E-brake is all the way released..might be low on brake fluid. If so your brakes are close to worn out.
Low brake fluid. As your brakes wear the fluid fills the pistons of the brake cylinders. As the fluid fills the cylinder it lowers within the master cylinder. You are just on the edge of low, as you accelerate or brake the fluid moves just enough for the sensor to trip on and off.
So, add some fluid and the light issue will be solved.
That said, it is an indication that you need brakes simply because you pads/shoes have worn enough to let the fluid lower that much.
I would check the brakes first.. IF you add fluid and then replace the pads and push the calipers back you will spill brake fluid all over the inside of the truck...
