Once again; I need to replace the front brakes on my Trac. I want to put on slotted rotors and ceramic pads, this time.

What is the best national chain to purchase these from?

I did the same last week. Got my slotted rotors from ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=8036980330&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT)

And got some Rabestos pads from PepBoys. I also had them install it.

I'm happy with the result, but I must say that the ABS seems more sensitive now.

I've used NAPA Ceramix pads on a couple vehicles, I like them. As far as I know the only slotted rotors are from Powerslot and Tire Rack and Pep Boys sell them.

I noticed the same thing with my 2001. Seem to get a bit of ABS pulsing when stopping hard, but never cause that reaction before the change. I think that I may have a bit of air in the caliper. Need to get the replacement bleeder screws that you just hook a hose up to and pump to bleed.

Anyone have a supplyer / part number for these?

cheers

tony
