I just put brand new calipers pads and rotors on my 01 sport trac. when I was done I went to go take it for a test drive and when Ihit the brakes and it starts to slow down at low speeds I get this pretty bad THUMP THUMP THUMP I have no idea where this is coming from it didn't do it before I changed them. I also have new balljoints and tie rod ends in it.

Make sure the ABS sensors are clean. If some scale got onto them during the change they will not activate the system properly and create a thumping as the calipers are being told to activate and release...

Nothing worse then pulling something apart, putting it back together and finding it doesn't work because of junk parts.

Don't forget the rear drums can cause the exact same thing, and if you have drums make sure they are properly adjusted or you will cook your fronts right out!!!!
