I have been using Hawk performance pads for the last 18 months. Very little brake dust and quiet, still look like about 80% braking surface left. Good luck with your choice with so many brands out there. Most pads are manufactured in Quebec, Canada to each companies requested blend of ingredients.:supercool:
I had my local ford dealer replace my brakes with standard replacements....they haven't stopped squeeking since. I think they left out a part or something.
While it's not a ST I just put a set of Akebono pads on my Dakota. They made a huge improvement over the Wagners that came off there...I didn't put the Wagners on the previous owner did...not a big fan of Wagner or Raybestos.
The one thing I dont buy is. Off brand pads. The other thing I dont buy bottom line of brand names. I have used many different brands in my life.
My conclusion is your driving style. Proper install and repair of the moving parts. To be happy and noise free.
As tech said Abekono are good. In my area they have to be ordered and cost muhco $$. I think there are others of the same type that are also. So I still say qaulity upper level brand and proper install.
