Replaced the stock air intake that idled perfectly.

Hoped the computer would adjust, and relearn to no avail.

Very close to going back to stock. Thanks in advance.

P.S.- May have a full Zabteck CAI up for sale in the S & S shortly. :banghead:

Try pulling that Batt. terminals off, wait 15 minutes and install them back. That should reset the computer. Some people touch them together when they are off.

ST almost stalls at idle. All connections and couplers are sealed tight.

HO- I'll try disconnecting the battery and touching the teminals. (Third time)

Eddie- Using the original Zabteck filter now. Amsoil EA dry filter is on the way.

Glad I didn't cut the 3.75 inch hole. Appreciate the help, thanks guys.

Are you certain that your CAI installation is completely and totally airtight? It pays to check again, just to be 100% certain. Don't forget attached hoses (esp. at the other end!) and gaskets.

How close is the MAF sensor to the air filter? The MAF sensor does not tolerate turbulent air, and can send confused signals that will cause poor idle performance in that case. You may need to relocate the MAF sensor, or install vanes upstream of the MAF to smooth out the airflow.

The MAF sensor may have been damaged by something else than oil contamination. It looks like you're still having problems with the stock intake, so you might want to try a new, known-good MAF.

Good luck!

Reinstalled the stock setup in 15 minutes, including cleaning. Engine purrs at idle, again.

With the CAI, idle was rapidly fluctuating between 500 and 1000 revs, almost stalling.

Manipulating the PCV breather hose changed nothing with the engine running.

MAF sensor was pristinely clean using the oiled K & N drop in filter.

As a precaution cleaned using CRC MAF Cleaner. Also rechecked all connectors and hoses.

Complete Zabteck CAI Kit, (including hole saw) will be posted with pics on the S & S

after I receive the new $60 Amsoil EA AU3570 Dry Filter. ($150 Shipped USPS)

Thanks for your efforts gang, I tried. (Maybe not enough) LOL
