Can someone please help me convert a qxd (Quark Express Document) to something that Adobe Photoshop or Acrobat can open? I need to do this for work and can't do anything with these files.

Thanks!

George

George i found this:

You can create a PDF file from a Quark document using Acrobat. The desktop version of Acrobat comes with Acrobat Distiller which can convert the Quark file to PDF.

According to the Adobe Create PDF Online web site (http://createpdf.adobe.com/index.pl), native Quark (qxd) files do not appear to be supported for online conversion. However, the service does support PostScript (.ps) files. If you can save your Quark file as a PostScript file, then you can use the Create PDF Online service.

Hope this helps and thanks for writing

What version of Quark? I might be able to open it (Quark 4.0 for PC here) and convert. Worst case I could do it at work (Mac at work though)...

George...

The poster file just crashes my copy of Quark, not sure the problem...

I was able to open the "long top" file and simply save it as .eps from the file menu. Once that's done the .eps can be opened in Photoshop.

Try that on your end...

HTH...
