My wifes motorcycle is having some issues. It won't stay running. I've pulled the carb off and soaked it in seafoam and carb cleaner and lots of junk came out of it.

Major problem is that it won't idle. If you leave the choke on or keep the revs high it's fine, but as soon as you come off the gas/have the choke in it dies.

What would cause this?

It just magicly happened today on her way home from work. Is there any way to test/check for vaccum leaks/plugged idle?

IF you got junk out of it, I would recommend cleaning the jets inside the carb and the idle channels. They are the little holes that run through it. You may need to get a needle and seat kit, open the bowl and clean the bowl, interior jet, and check the gas tank for rust...

IF it runs fine on slight choke, the idle paths are clogged...

ALSO install a small fuel filter...
