Would anyone be willing to run a Carfax for my girlfriend? She is looking at a 2004 Chrysler Sebring. VIN# 1C3EL55R64N117791.

Also, we just went to test drive the car, and the "Air Bag" light is on? Anyone know what that could mean? Accident?

Thanks, Brett

The light usually means there is something wrong with the air bag system. You will have to get the codes read to find out. Or have the system inspected by someone.

In Texas you cant pass inspection if the light is on.

Could be the air bag sensor is not working properly. I had a used escort (2yrs old at the time) that had that happen, turned out to only be the air bag sensor, the car had never been wrecked.

If buying from a dealership, I'd have the fix that before buying (get it in writing.) That is a safety item, I am not sure if they can sell that car with air bag system needing some maintenance, but then I don't know the law on that either.

If the they fix it tell them you want to see the work order (but don't ask for it until after they fix it) just a suggestion. I'm sure someone will help you soon with a carfax.
