Catback vs HP and MPG

Does anyone know how changing the exhaust (Catback) changes the gas mileage? Horsepower?



Can you direct me to a link with some real facts?

Being that you have a V8, there should be some difference. The most you will get for MPG would probably be 1-2 MPG increase. Of course it also could go down due to the "it sounds great at WOT" problem that always shows up after putting one on.



If you are going to do this, you may want to go with an aftermarket intake. It's going to need to breathe better and that also will show some increase in MPG. (but you run into the same problem as mentioned above )



HP increases will range from 10-20 HP. Just go onto any site that sells these systems and they will most likely have charts showing the increases.
