Ok this may be a stupid question but here goes. I have a set of steel winter rims and was wondering if I need to get center caps or hubcaps to cover the Axel nut. Im not a huge fan of hubcaps but I like the look of say the crown Vic's with the chrome center cap. Now another stupid question lol where can I find them and how do they attach to the rims?

check your local wrecking yard. i'm sure you can find them there. I believe they snap onto the lugnuts. the ones with large shoulders

Thanks Lloyd. I never thought of looking at the wreckers for that. EBay wants a Ron for what I've found. And like I said above the full hubcaps at Walmart just don't appeal to me.

Are you missing the grease hub (dust) caps? They are there for a reason, replace if missing.

Swshawaii I never have had them. My stock rims had the small plastic hubcaps. They are the ones that press into the center of the chrome rim. Where would I get something like that?

Most auto parts stores will stock them. RWD only? If so, sorry. :banghead:

I got 4 Cragar caps last year off ebay for $15, I guess I got lucky with that purchase. My Ranger has Ford lug nut chrome caps that look good on my black rims too. Good luck in your hunt. :haveabeer:
