Aloha guys,

I read Sporttracktuner's post on replacing the rear tensioner. Is the front one as easy? And are there any posts on how to do it. I don't know which is noisy but after an oil cleaner, 400 mile drive then fresh oil with a K&N filter. It was quiet about a week and then the rattle is back.

Tks Ed

By the book you have to remove the upper intake and then the t-stat housing to get to the tensioner. From experience you can just remove the t-stat housing to replace the tensioner. You are supposed to remove the upper intake to do the t-stat housing but if you have a 8 mm 1/4 inch drive wobbly socket you can easily remove the t-stat housing without removing the upper intake.
