So if I change from 235 series to 265 series on the ST what options to I have to fix the speedo? Just a reprogram or is there a cheaper option out there for us poor folk?

i went from 235's to 265, now my speedo reads right on.... used to read 4-5 mph fast.... according to the local police radar reminder sled... may not be an issue... '02 2wd

I went from 235/70's to 265/75's and I just allow that I'm going about 5 mph faster than the speedo says. This is confirmed by the "radar sleds" at the toll booths (thanks, I always wondered what thoe things were called).

I was under the impression there was a gear you could swap also. Do we have that speedo or is that only in the Rangers or before our years?

The Sport Trac's system is electronic. You can probably have the service dept at the dealer reprogram the computer, but they will probably charge you a bit of $$.

As far as I know, Adrenalins don't have anything different as far as gears that run the speedo, and they come stock with 265's. So the reprograming is the solution.
