I have a 2001 Sporttrac, and my check engine light came on today. I went up to Autozone, and the error code is P0136. Can anyone give me any information about this code?

P0136 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
Normally, this type of code comes about when the sensor itself is out of parameters. Unlike if there was a vacuum leak and the reading was out of the norm but within the min and max.
Look for a broken or shorted, (melted) wire going to the sensor. If you find nothing, pull it and clean it and put it back in and reset the code. It may come back, but see how long after you have cleaned it.
If all is good as far as wires and what not, and the light comes back on, then the sensor is probably defective.

I got this code a while ago. I ended up changing the o2 sensor and it went away.
