Check guage..Oil

When I first start up my truck in the morning the check guage light is on and the oil pressure guage is on low..When the truck warms up the oil guage goes to normal and the check guage light goes off... I know this isn't normal... any suggestions on where to troubleshoot?

Where is the sender? Is this something I can do myself?

Drivers side wheel well.... It is tight in there, But you can do it....

So just got to Ford and as them for a sender for the oild guage?

No, you do not need the gauge, you need the Oil Pressure Sending Unit. Which in reality is just a switch activated by the oil pressure.



The other option is just to ignore it since it usually on happens when it's cold outside and the vehicle has been setting a long time. When the weather gets warmer you guage will work just fine.
