i am not a huge NFL fan, but have been a ny jet fan all my life and will watch games at times.

this past weekend jet-dolphin game made me sick.

if you haven't seen this, you will agree after watching it.

the ny jets strength/conditioning coach sal alosi standing on the sidelines purposely tripped the dolphins nolan carroll as he was running down the line.

carroll then fell hard to the ground. he could have been seriously hurt by this idiot's tuff guy move. carroll handled the incident like a man, but it would have been real nice to see this tuff guy put in his place. typical native long island tuff guy doing his best that he has

this azz played college ball at hofstra on long isle and had an been arrested in 99 for assault.

alosi appologized and has been suspended the rest of the season and assesed a 25K fine.

also disturbing is that the jets earlier this year did not punish one of their players that recieved a DWI during the season.

how about setting an example and bouncing this idiot right off the team

All the coaches were told to stand close to the line to prevent the defensive player from running out of bounds. They run out of bounds so they can't be blocked. There is no sportsmanship anymore. They are paid to win.

Why was the defensivemen running down the out-of-bounds line anyways? Also, I've watched this what seems like a hundred times and I'm not even sure there was contact. Looks more like the runner tried to avoid contact then tripped over his own feet. If he hadn't been running down the line in the first place...

Sometimes one d-bag move deserves another as far as I am concerned. Still, it is a d-bag move on the coaches part. No question!

My biggest complaint about this whole thing is the people that say: "Typical NY!", and they don't really mean Jets, but the "entire state." To them: :cheeky:

My personal gripe is that they play in NEW JERSEY! :fire:

Not that I want to be associated with this dumb move, but we are so subservient to NYC that they still retain the NY in their name (same sentiment for the Giants). What other state would put up with that?

s/b

NJ Jets

NJ Giants

'nuff said

imo, regardless if he was running out of bounds, it is still a very low cheap shot.

tjr, in no way did i refer to the entire ny state. my frustration is with the long isle/nyc metro area. i am so fed up with the tuff guys and rude girls who just do whatever they want and act like total idiots. it is definetely a regional issue as i have been upstate and people are so different i feel like i am in another state. things like parking their vehicles along the no standing zone at the shopping center and blocking the cart access ramps because they feel they are better then everyone else. another example is they dont have to wait in line to get off the exit ramp, they can just ride the shoulder or go up to the front and cut off the driver.

i dont see this behavior when i leave my hometowns of long isle. it's just getting worse as no one gives a crap about anyone else. these are not kids but adults that act this way.

i could go on and rant forever, but i dont want to bore everyone else.

I say the same thing Droll, New Jersey is losing SOOOO much money on just the name. I think they should either move the stadiums to (N.Y.) or change the name of the teams, if not they should have a great lawsuit against the NFL and N.Y., just saying.

:smack::angry::fire:

oh yes, i also agree on the ny/nj name.

they play in NEW JERSEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now on to my nj nets

Gary, I never said that you said anything about the whole state of NY. I was talking about what I have heard others say.

I hear what you say about down-state NY. I was born and raised in central NY. I lived down-state for 15 years. It was enough to make me MOVE THE F' out of NYS.

Many of the folk in down state live and act like the cast of "The Jersey Shore." F'ing spoiled children and wanting to be "tough guys".

Won't bore you with my rant, either.
