Reading this article re-assured me that there are people that do good in this world. Way to go LaRue. Good luck in opening up a store!

You're a sexy man ;)

Great write up, now your going to have to hire someone with all the calls your going to be getting.

Best of Luck

Thanks Rodger, only if I get paid:lol::lol::lol:

Actually the article has generated a lot of work for LaRue today, people have been calling & telling him they saw the article and want to have their homes redone. He has finished one job & gone on to the next one. It is almost 6:30 in the evening and he still has more work to do. I just hope that people remember him & the article when they need a locksmith.

The article took up about 1/4 - 1/3 of the FRONT page! A huge picture of him unlocking a car. I was reading another story and all of sudden realized that was LaRue's pic on the front page.

I just love locksmiths, especially after locking myself out of my patrol car last week at a convenience store. It so happens that my spare key was not in its usual place in my handcuff pouch, so when I locked the regular key in there I was screwed. After a parade of 5 or 6 other officers came by to try their keys (MOST of our cars are keyed the same), a quick response from our local locksmith got me back underway. I blame my screw up on the fact that I was approaching 30hrs of overtime for the week and near the end of a double (night then day) shift but others keep reference the many of times I have locked my keys in my personal vehicle in the past. Anyway we use our local locksmith several times a week at all hours of the day and he just loves it. Great article keep up the good work.

Oh I just thought of something. I should never have to worry about locking the keys in the ST because I can just use the keypad entry. woohoo. Wonder if they will install one on the cruiser.

firedog, I know how you feel.. Last year "I" locked myself out of my work truck and had to get a fellow locksmith to get me in. Now THAT's embarrasing...:lol:

Ben, what are the req for LA. All I had to do is buy a 30$ business license. SC is talking about a state license, but I"ll be grandfathered in.....

i will be grand fathered in due to my 13 years working on locks but any one with less than 5 years before 2004 needs to take a test by the state fire marshall .my cost is $100 for the license and it is $50 a year renewal .the state fire marshall is requiring any one who works on locks in a high rise office building to become certified. so my company pays for it.
