Checking the ATF oil

So when I check it when the truck is hot it reads low, when I check it when the truck is cold it reads high. I will do it a couple more times to double check. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm doing this per the owners manual on a level surface ofcoarse.

You need to check it with the truck at operating temperature and the engine runnging, tranny in park or neutral.

Maybe checking it on an incline then decline???

Yeah my "hot" check the truck was running. and a level surface....

Was the Cold check running ????



Checking it cold is not worth the time, IT will never read right..

Cold check the truck was not running.

So go by the hot running check over the cold check then.
