Boy, I bet that really makes our officials who give our information to our enemys mad. Leaves less for them to give away to get cudos with them.

Can't tell from the story--is it confirmed that the attack was from the Chinese government, or is it simply from some Chinese citizen?
I tend to agree with Bill V,
The author of the article makes it appear that this hacking is being done under the direction of the Chinese government, when in fact the US investigators can only confirm that the attacks originated in China.
There are Americans also hacking into government and corporate computers for various reasons.
Microsoft has been hacked to get info about new operating systems before they were released, or even completely developed. We constantly hear of Bank and business computers being hacked an Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, and other personal information of their customers being exposed to unknown persons.
I think the problem with our government and corporate computers is that they properly rely on numerous levels of security that work well, but they are never changed....Leave any security system stagnant too long and someone will figure out how to breach it....And once they get it to one system, they know that most other Government computer security is set up similarly and that makes it even easier to hack the next system.
