Check this out and let me know what you think. Incredibly cool, IMO!

I'm guessing it's MIDI controlled....your thoughts?

All I know is that I would to this to my house in a heartbeat if I had the capability of doing so...

As cool as it it I would think it would drive you nuts to either live int he house or near it.

Not to mention the electric bill... LOL

I don't really care for it (not very Christmassy), however, I can appreciate the work that went into it.

Wonder how many channels if i/o they used?

That has to be the work of a video editor. Cant possible be for real.

Very cool though.

It is a little over the top, especially for a non-denominational display (it wishes "Happy Holidays" on the balcony).

The music is Beethoven's Last Night - Requiem (Fifth) by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. My daughter and I went to their concert last year, and it was awesome. I've provided a link so you can enjoy more of their music. :)

Glad none of my neighbors does that to their houses! It would drive me crazy... (and it's a short drive)

And I have to work that TSO show on Dec. 6th. (a holiday 'staple' show)

Thats awesome.. I liked it..

My neighbor is an electrician, we actually discussed doing that to the houses last year.... The equipment to do that is like 10 grand.... He said we could make it for about 2.... hmmmm

Why do people think this is faked? Brandon64, I looked at the street and the grass, all I saw was normal MPEG mosiacing that often happens when lighting changes frequently.

Has snoopes reported it a fake?

FYI, found another site with the same video.

Not sure myself if it's real or not--but for those that think it is real: Where do you think the speakers are? (Or are they doing a radio frequency broadcast, for people driving by, to spare their neighbors the constant blaring of the music?)

Look at how still the frame is yet the grass still juts around slightly. Wind movement in between frames, dead give-away.

So you think someone took video of the house, and all the various light combinations then spliced and synched to the music? Even if they did, that's pretty cool!

Might not have even required video--could have used still shots.

One other give away I just noticed--the occasionally flashing light just next to the left wall of the house. It's as if the light was on in just one (or a few) of the still shots they used, and therefore flashes on only in those shots.

I scoured the net looking for news that this was faked, and I found the vid about 1/2 dozen times but nothing definitive to say it was faked.

Oh, and the rather choppy look of the "grass" in the forefront, upon a closer inspection actually looks more like a hedge, close to the camera, blowing in the breeze.

I think it's real.
