Cladding, bumper and step boards

I know that folks sometimes paint the cladding on the lower portion of the doors, bumper and step boards (mine look terrible due to fading) but I had the wild idea of maybe just shooting them with spray on bed liner. I have a friend that is getting ready to do the whole exterior of his jeep and thought this might be an option that would be easy to maintain, won't fade and would be tough for my Sport Trac trim and accessories. Just thought you guys might have some input or may have seen one done already and could fill me in before I make this permanent.

Thanks for the link. Looks great on that Explorer in black. My ST is of course gold so I'm still going to think it over a bit and look for some additional pics of previously completed vehicles.
 
Plasti-Dip is what I used and it works great! been off the road twice since I painted them and havent had any of it come off anywhere!
